Other animals in the Cove are black bears, European wild hogs (non-native), bobcats, river otters, wild turkey, copperheads and timber rattlesnakes, spotted and striped skunks, gray squirrels, chipmunks, woodchucks ("groundhogs"), coyotes (self-introduced exotic), gray and red foxes, raccoons, and numerous birds.
